Assignment 2: (45 marks) (90 minutes)
Please note the following:
This assessment is compulsory and counts 67% towards your year mark. Please use the following
scenario to answer the required.
Please adhere to the due date and time and ensure that you submit your answers before the portal closes.
Submission of assignment on the invigilator App will not be marked.
ASSIGNMENT RULES:
1. Students must upload their handwritten (scanned) answer scripts in a single PDF file
(answer scripts must not be password protected or uploaded as “read only” files).
2. The university only marks one submission received from a student. Accordingly, Unisa awards
0% to incorrect submissions made via the cas.myexams website regardless of correct
submissions made on the invigilator App.
3. NO e-mailed scripts will be accepted.
4. Students are permitted to resubmit their answer scripts should their initial submission be
unsatisfactory before the assignment session time lapses.
5. Students are advised to preview submissions (answer scripts) to ensure legibility and that the
correct answer script file has been uploaded.
6. Incorrect answer files that are uploaded (i.e. any file other than the exam answer script) will
not be marked and no opportunity will be granted for resubmission after the assignment
session time has lapsed.
7. Uncollated answer scripts and scripts with an incorrect file format will not be considered.
8. Students who submitted password-protected scripts will be contacted during the marking period to
provide the relevant passwords. Students with unresolved password-protected scripts will receive
zero mark.
9. A mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be the student’s final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
10. A mark awarded for illegible scanned submission will be the student’s final mark. No
opportunity for resubmission will be granted.
11. Only the last answer file uploaded within the assignment submission period will be marked.
12. Queries that are beyond Unisa’s control include the following:
a. Personal network or service provider issues
b. Crashed computer or limited space on personal computer
c. Non-functioning cameras or web cameras
d. Using employer computer that block access to the cas.myexams site (firewall
challenges)
e. Unlicensed software (e.g. license expires during exams)
