Question:
Describe a time when you had to deliver a presentation. How did you explain technical
details to a non-technical audience?
Answer:
Recently, a number of staff in distance learning upload videos to a shared network
drive for us to make an automated transcript for and then we upload the transcript file
back to their folders in the shared networkdrive. My supervisor and I also have access
to that shared network drive and access it via EVO Shared Browser desktop application
so we can see newly uploaded files in the folder. We comment "done" in the comment
tags which is only a feature of EVO Shared browser and another feature of this app is to
search files that do or do not have a specific comment so we can search for files that
do not have the comment done to see what files need to have their transcript
processed.
Question:
Have you ever implemented a cost-reducing/less resources system? What was it and
how did you come up with the suggestion?
Answer:
a powershell script to automate the common initial steps for our internal helpdesk.
Simple things like, when was it last rebooted, is the web filter running, av update time,
last time LAPS reset the password, last time GPO updated, group memberships of user,
some quick 'ping test' type connections, routing table, host file etc. Nothing crazy but it
covers 80%+ of the tickets and collects the data in a fraction of the time. The
employee can run it, attach the output to a ticket and expedite the process.
,Question:
difficult angry unhappy user customer how would you appease them
Answer:
stay calm, make sure they see that you are actually listening to them and explain what
you can and cannot do for them (or the problem). If you don't know the answer promise
to find out -- and then actually follow through (even if it's bad news). Build a reputation
of someone who is reasonable and helpful in even the worst situations.
Question:
Tell us about a time when you showed initiative at work.
Answer:
I cleaned up our data center. I made all the cables neat. I made visio drawings of the
racks and documented all the servers, names IPs. I configured the idracs most of which
were not configured.

minimal knowledge of IT will understand you.

Spoofed packet is an internet protocol packet that is created from a fake IP address,

the average person. Also I am a fast learner because of my course load of constantly
learning new languages and new algorithms by short due dates along with my
experience working as a TSP with constantly keeping up with new software, hardware,
new operating systems and producers.
