Open the practice CSV in SPSS and reproduce each workflow. The dialog boxes below are educational

1. Import the Practice CSV
STEP 1
Open SPSS. Choose File → Open → Data. Select the included SPSS_Thesis_Practice_Dataset.csv file.
STEP 2
Use the text/CSV import options to confirm that the first row contains variable names and that the columns are
separated correctly.
STEP 3
After import, inspect Data View and Variable View. Compare variable names and measurement roles with the
supplied codebook.

■ Age Confirm numeric variables imported as numeric.

CHECK BEFORE ANALYSIS
Make sure Exam_Score and Study_Hours_Week are numeric, while Group and Passed are treated as
categorical variables. Do not continue if imported values or labels look wrong.
