The dark side of leadership Corporate scandals are evident globally in most companies and government organisations worldwide. It is a matter that seems to lack a solution, especially because most scandals are linked to leaders of those businesses or organisations. However, in Zoro, a country closer to a certain island in the Indian Ocean, corporate scandals are worse. The media houses of Zoro cover these stories weekly; for example, at a company called Anzi International, it was reported that R5 billion was stolen by organisational leaders through accounting fraud. Another matter recently reported was the looting at Zoro’s private bank, ZGF Mutual Bank, where about R3 billion was also stolen by the bank's leaders. At another company, NAF Electrical, about 4 directors were sent to jail for misappropriation of funds, and a court of law declared them delinquent directors for participating in the looting of the organisation, and they were barred from holding directorships in any business in the country for a lifetime.
