• Drug resistance is a major problem.
• Newer drugs used after primary medications become ineffective.
• Closely monitor for toxicities
• Risks of co-administration with NSAIDs
• Verify dosing schedule
Contraindicated in pregnancy
• Assess for patent IV with positive blood return
• Assess for appropriate site selection
