WGU D081 V5-QBM3 Task 2: with Complete Solutions

Task 2

A.

Risk #A and Impact to AMERICAN company: With the U.S.A fishing
company entering the Indian market one of the potential risks that the
company might encounter is legal risks. There are specific laws and
regulations the company must be mindful of and if they aren’t careful this
could result in legal action taken against them or fines. Also, the company
may have to do more research into these laws to make sure that entry into
the market is as smooth as possible.

Risk #B and impact to U.S. company: Another risk the fishing company
might encounter is financial loss because they might encounter a
competitive fishing boat market in India. Other companies might have a
presence in India and maybe manufacturing better boats that are foldable
or have a strong client base because of this the fishing company might
have to use strategic pricing and marketing to grow a customer base which
could hurt the profitability of the company.

2.
2-1:

, Strength #1: One of the strengths of the company is that it has a highly
creative and collaborative environment. Employees are encouraged to
share ideas and be creative when it comes to making solutions. In this type
of work culture all the employees, founders, and partners are seen as
equals and that supports the company’s mission to provide customer-
driven products.

Strength #2: Another strength the company has is the design of the
boat. By making the boat lightweight and portable it makes it easier to
carry for fishermen young and old and because the boat is foldable it
could give it a competitive edge and help it stand out against other
manufacturing companies in India.

2-2.

Weakness #1: One weakness the company has is that it doesn’t have
experience in international markets like India. The company’s lack of
experience could hurt its chances for growth in India because its
international marketing efforts could be ineffective and because it
doesn’t have a presence in the market it could hurt the sales for the
company.

Weakness #2: Another potential weakness is the company’s reliance on
employee collaboration for ideas and product development. If the
company’s local workforce in India doesn’t have essential skills this
could lead to a poor product quality also if the employee ideas don’t fit
the market it could lead to customers to buying the product which would
create slow growth in India.
