TASK 1: ADHERENCE TO PORTFOLIO INSTRUCTIONS
I adhered to the prescribed portfolio instructions by completing the required activities
and organising my work according to the requirements provided for the portfolio. I
made an effort to ensure that each component was addressed and that the work
presented reflects my participation, development and learning throughout the academic
period. I also considered the requirements relating to attendance, teamwork, self-
development and self-management when compiling the portfolio.
I understand that adherence to portfolio instructions is important because the portfolio
is not only intended to assess the final work produced, but also the process followed in
completing the required activities. I therefore ensured that the different sections were
clearly identified and that the relevant supporting evidence was included where
required. I also paid attention to submission requirements and attempted to complete
activities within the prescribed timeframes.
Completing the portfolio has helped me understand the importance of following
instructions carefully. In an academic environment, failing to follow instructions can
result in important information being omitted even when the work itself is of a good
standard. I have therefore learned to read assessment instructions carefully, identify the
requirements of each task and use them as a guide when planning my work. This is a skill
that I will continue to apply in future academic and professional situations.
