, HRM3703 ASSIGNMENT 2 SEMESTER 2
DUE DATE: 2026
Introduction
Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) have become an important component of
modern organisations because they support the effective management, processing and
use of employee information. The successful implementation of an HRIS can improve
administrative efficiency, decision-making, employee services and organisational
performance. However, organisations may experience significant challenges when
implementing or redesigning HR systems, particularly where there are weaknesses in
planning, change management, needs analysis and system development. This
assignment examines various aspects of HRIS implementation, design and human
resource administration through a number of organisational case studies. Question 1
considers the Ubuntu Healthcare Group case study by examining implementation risks,
change management recommendations, relevant SDLC phases and needs analysis.
Question 2 focuses on the factors contributing to the successful design and
implementation of Dentsu’s HRIS. Question 3 evaluates alternative approaches to HR
administration and recommends a suitable model for the retail group. Finally, Question
4 examines the benefit-cost analysis conducted by Mzansi AgriFoods and identifies
significant errors that may affect the reliability of the analysis.
