David O. McKay
Softened the stance of blacks holding the priesthood, believed that it was policy rather
than doctrine. Had a lot of promptings for missionary work in Africa, but never changed
the policy.

Spencer W. Kimball
Received revelation in Salt Lake City Temple for OD #2 about priesthood and temple

Joseph F. Smith
son of Hyrum Smith, went on the trek West with his mom, Mary Fielding Smith, He
became President of the Church on October 17, 1901. While ushering the Church into
the 20th century, expanding Church missionary and educational systems. He clarified
important doctrines, served numerous missions, and directed the construction of a new
headquarters complex for an expanding Church. Received section 138 the redemption
of the dead. (Spirit world)
Brigham Young
In 1835, three years after he joined the Church, he was called to the Quorum of the
Twelve Apostles. As successor to Joseph Smith, he led the migration west in 1846-47
to the Rocky Mountains and founded Salt Lake City. He was sustained as President of
the Church on December 27, 1847 (Said Hyrum should be the successor). As Church
President and territorial governor of Utah... makes WOW commandment, Reinstates
Relief society in the west.
John Taylor
John Taylor accompanied Joseph Smith to Carthage, Illinois, in June 1844 and was
seriously wounded when Joseph Smith was killed. He was sustained as President of
the Church on October 10, 1880, during one of the most challenging periods in Church
history.
Eliza R. Snow
RS president (also organized YM, YW, Primary) in the West (Utah) with
reestablishment of Relief Society; "This organization belongs to the organization of the
Church of Christ, in all dispensations"
John D. Lee
American pioneer and prominent early member of the Latter-Day Saint Movement in
Utah. Lee was later convicted as a mass murderer for his complicity in the Mountain
Meadows massacre, sentenced to death and was executed in 1877.
