preceptor discusses everything that is needed for each of the patients—labs,
immunizations, etc. Trigger warning: 1/22/25 Metro Public School system experienced a
school shooting. Many of the patients were affected by this tragedy.
7:00 am patient presents to the clinic to Establish Care
Preceptor: Completed a medical history of the patient. The patient stated that she
has a copper IUD for birth control. Her last PAP was in the summer of 2022. She is no
longer taking her Strattera but is thinking about restarting. Her last physical was in 2023 at
another outside clinic. The preceptor completed an ear, eyes, and mouth exam. She listens
to the patient's heart, lungs, and abdomen. The patient stated she has no problems with
going to the bathroom. The preceptor checked reflexes and noted no swelling.

Patient in clinic to establish care. Establishing care is a way to manage the health of
