a place that humans added for a sentimental or practical reason
➢ Location created by human experiences
➢ ‘a place comes into existence when humans give maning to a part of the larger
undifferentiated space’ – Yi-Fu Tuan

➢ An area that you are not personally associated with + that has no sentimental value
➢ No social connections to a human being
