QUESTION 1: STUDENT REFLECTION
1.1. Since I was in grade 10 I liked the way my teacher taught maths literacy, It was
the only class I understood well and the technique he used he made sure that
we understand because I was a little slow in catching up, since then I decided I
want to be a teacher and make a difference in other children learning
capabilities because children are not the same cognitively.
1.2. At the begging to the semester, my goal for this module was to be able to
understand children, being able to spot the behaviour of children and what is
the course behind the behaviour, understanding all child’s dimensions.
1.3. My biggest mistake in this module is that
1.3.1. Not following my goals as I supposed to do.
1.3.2. I did not give it time to read and understand it better
1.3.3. I compared it with my profession in which is Child and youth Care work.
1.4. The most valuable lesson I learned in this module are
1.4.1. Children are not the same dimensional
1.4.2. Children change in their own way
1.4.3. The best way to understand the child’s behaviour is to do an assessment
that speaks about their background or make a research about their home
background.
1.4.4. Children they just cannot grow on their own they need parental
guidance.
1.4.5. One needs to consider risk during early childhood
1.4.6. For the child to grow parents needs to let them do and not to be over
protective.
1.5. From the mistake I made and lessons I learned I would like to make the following
changes in my life and studies
1.5.1. Make time to understand children better
1.5.2. Always allow myself to get new information
1.5.3. Compare the profession I am in with the module but read more to grow
1.5.4. Being able to understand growth of children in their own capabilities
