-Partial thromboplastin time (PTT) is 2 ½ x control;
*Check
-Prothrombin time (PT)
-The international normalized ratio (INR)
, -hemoglobin and hematocrit (H&H)
-platelet (PLT);
*PLT is lower than 150 or MD has a different PLT parameter which is not being met.
*Consider holding if pt. is pre-op for surgery, is on chemo or radiation.
Trends(VS, I&O, labs, wts whatever is appropriate will give you information to report
to the appropriate healthcare provider.
