Task 1: Interprofessional Communication and Leadership in Healthcare Reflection

Part one: Working style
1. In the explore energy category, my level of intensity was deliberate used sometimes.
Excited was deliberate, used sometimes. Examine was effortless, used frequently. Lastly, execute
was effortless, used frequently.
2. One of my strengths, according to the 5 Dynamics reports, is that I am detailed and fact
oriented. My second strength is that I am goal and control-oriented. I find myself agreeing with
these results as I think that I am always efficient in my goals and prioritize the tasks that can help
me get there; I am also able to stay organized and have structure in my day-to-day life and work
life. These qualities also allow me to be accountable, reliable, and credible in my work and
personal life.
One of my challenges is that I can lose my energy level when something is not in my
interest, especially for tasks that are more geared in my day-to-day life. I will put in more effort
in other areas that I have an interest in and will sometimes have less in the areas that I should be
participating in. Another challenge is that I may lack the energy to start certain projects or
, endeavors in the very beginning if it’s something that is not in my immediate interest. However,
these challenges I have I take on and try and learn from them and grow.
The way that I can learn the best is through visual learning and through books. I have to
be able to see the information that I am learning and see descriptions of what it is I am supposed
to learn. My best way is to have physical things such as books, notes, or PowerPoints.
As I was reading my report from the 5 dynamics, all I could think was how much I do
this in my day-to-day and how much it does translate to me as a person. I always have plans for
my days or tasks that I need to complete so I can progress into the next one. Sometimes, having
many different goals, I do see myself prioritizing and telling myself about the ones that I have to
accomplish first. I tend to find myself always asking why. Every goal I set has to be backed with
a reason as to why I am doing it, so that when I get asked why, I have an answer.
3. With a teammate, I would like to have someone who is explorative. This person ideally
would be flexible and have ideas that can challenge my own, and together we would make a
great team. This would balance out as I can bring the detail into the project and make sure that
we stay organized in what we are doing. Having one person who is more flexible and the other is
detail-oriented and fact-driven can make for a great team, as the different viewpoints can create a
great project where two different kinds of ideas come together as one and are able to form a
cohesive project.
Part Two: Communication
4. Recently, at work, there was a meeting, and my manager was discussing different ways to
ensure that proper sedation documentation was being done accurately. Many were talking about
ways to ensure that everyone is documenting appropriately, to me, I was in the accuracy part of
