FIRST AIDER
• Assess consciousness (AVPU scale), breathing, general condition (SAMPLE assessment).
• If necessary, alert the other Cabin Crew by shouting "Medical, Medical" and pressing the
call button, so that a chime is heard 3 times in the cabin.
• Provide first aid to the casualty.
ASSISTANT
• Bring the medical equipment and extras (e.g. AED, FAK, OXY bottle, tissues etc.);
• Help the First Aider whenever it is required;
• Become AED Operator in case the situation requires the usage of a defibrillator;
• Provide CPR together with the First Aider.
COMMUNICATOR
• Make a PA for medical personnel.
• Inform the flight deck about the nature of the medical emergency, equipment used, medical
professional availability on board, need for priority landing or medical support upon arrival.
• Handle communication with the other passengers, according to the situation (e.g. dealing
with family members of the casualty).
• In case of any changes, keep updating the flight deck.
SUPPORTER/S
