A. Data Driven Decision - Business Question
Statistics and the supplied scenario show that a Human Resources-designed program for
employee well-being reduces the number of nurses who quite due to stress. Over the
course of 36 months, we will evaluate the data using linear regression. Question: "Does
the percentage of well-being participants predict the percentage of nurse attrition?" will
guide the analysis.
B1. Description of Relevant Data
a. The independent variable represents the rate at which a certain population takes part
in each program. These results provide support for the hypothesis that retention rates are
linked to nurses' engagement with a company's wellness initiative.
b. The dependent variable is a measure of the turnover rate among nurses. Based on these
findings, it seems that a well-being program is having an impact on reducing the number
of nurses leaving their positions due to stress.
c. Type of Data - The percentage attrition rate demonstrates how many nurses have
departed a company compared to how many are still employed there. Even though this
value can be 0, we nonetheless classify these ratios as continuous.
d. Quantity of Data - Two measures, attrition and program participation, were tracked
over the course of the study's 36-month duration. There are a total of 72 points of data.
The 36 data points are analyzed by the linear regression model.
