Conducting a Budget Analysis
Introduction
As leaders and educators, we can agree that our main goal is for our students to succeed
academically and have personal growth. Being able to provide the resources to meet all our
students' needs would be exceptional, but not always realistic. Teachers strive to give their
students the best education and experience possible, even if they have to use their own funds to
provide these resources. As leaders, it is our responsibility to properly allocate funds and
resources equitably and ensure that students’ needs are being met in order for them to be
successful. The following discussion will show improvement targets, along with a principal’s
proposal based on PS #3’s instructional needs.
