Businesses have to solve many problems as they confront the many different challenges of
dynamic and complex business environments. Businesses have to find new and innovative ways
to break out from routine thinking in order to solve problems and make decisions.
INTRODUCTION Solving problems requires businesses to apply creative and critical thinking skills.
The key focus of the lessons will be on i) How creative thinking can contribute towards
successful and sustainable business practice. ii) How creative thinking can be used to generate
entrepreneurial opportunities as well as solve business problems.

, Question 1:
1. Please refer back to previous page for answer.
1.1 In my opinion – the learners may have different
reactions to the use of a discussion during a classroom
activity, but it may have a very positive outcome.
Some challenges a teacher can face while having a
class discussion:
 Some individuals are/stay silent – there will always
be one or two children who are shy and don’t want
to take part in the discussion, maybe because they
are shy of their answers or just a shy child overall,
who will stay silent during a class discussion.
 Some or most of the children use this as a chance
to start a conversation with a friend about
something else – there is always one or more
students who believe that they can use a class
discussion for their own private conversations,
talking to a friend about something that is not
related to the topic that is being discussed.
 When a distraction occurs – students may get
distracted when another student arrives late, or
when another teacher enters the classroom, or
when they have other homework that has to be
done, etc.
 Two of students are very dominant – there will
always be two or more students in a class who are
very strong and dominant and may have an
answer to every question or lead the
conversation, this may lead to the rest of the class
to not listen to the conversation.
 Students may not react well to a class discussion –
some students may not like the process of a class
discussion because that may not be an effective
way for them to learn the work that is being
handled.
