Per P&P 6.23 Field training procedure under fraternization, FTO and supervisors are required to
fairly and impartially train and evaluate new officers. What is your understanding of the
fraternization policy and it's exceptions? - Answer -Off duty relationships between trainees,
recruits, FTOs and supervisors are strictly prohibited.

-Notify FTO admin of any conflict of interests
Exceptions are: 1. You know the person (trainee) before they joined SDPD.
2. At SDPOA events such as the christmas party or picnics
3. At police athletic events at the designation of the Chief of Police

-Provide a demonstration of a good traffic stop
