Course Overview

Unit 1: Introduction

Welcome to Intermediate Accounting III! This course serves as the third in
a series of three in-depth financial accounting courses for accounting
majors. The focus of the course is on advanced concepts of accounting
and their application to business.

This course is delivered in MyEducator, where students will access reading
material, instructional videos, learning checks, module quizzes, and unit
tests to help them practice and apply their knowledge. Competency will be
demonstrated by successfully completing two PAs and two OAs.The first
PA and OA are available after Unit 4 (Units 2-4); the second PA and OA
are available after Unit 9 (Units 5-9). These assessments include multiple
choice problems and tests of knowledge application using Microsoft Excel.

The Topics and Pacing page in the Unit 1 Introduction Module breaks
down your assigned work in a weekly format. You can change the pace to
faster or slower, depending on your personal preference. Reading and
watching the videos is an effective way to study; or watching the video and
then reading the text might be better for you. Either way, please do both to
help your understanding.

Excel Assignments and Installing the Add-In explain that Excel 365 is
used in this course, the version to use, and that it’s free to download. An
Add-In needs to be installed in Excel, in order to Excel to work with
MyEducator.
