Re: The Retail Display Report

I have chosen 18 items from the inventory according to each of their profit contributions and positioned
them in the desired retail display area. Since at least one item should be selected from each category,
the choice is made by considering these aspects:
• The profit contribution of each item
• The size dimensions of each item
• How the display of each item attracts customers
To calculate the profit contribution, I used the formula: quantity * price * gross margin percent. Then, I
arranged them from the biggest to the smallest and chose the item that brings the larger profit
contribution. For instance, occasional tables and rocking chairs are frequently used as official furniture
and could maximize profits. In addition, the workplace is limited to a 4.5m * 5m area, thus the size
dimensions of each item are also important. I chose the item that occupies a smaller space but could
bring a big profit. Moreover, to draw attention to customers, some decorations such as vases and
artificial plants were chosen to be displayed in the workplace. Despite having essential office equipment,
the arrangement of each item should be carefully considered. Also, I have included a sofa bed and coffee
table to provide an engaging and motivating working environment. Therefore, the total profit
contribution of the 18 items is $8,291,372.37 with a result of 36% gross margin.

Regarding the information analyzed, I believe I have provided the best visual retail display in the desired
workspace area. If you would like to have further discussion, please do not hesitate to contact me at
and I am glad to provide assistance.

Thank you.

Best regards,
