Nurse Conceptual Model
Nurse as Detective
According to the Nursing Programs Conceptual Model, the Nurse as Detective should
embody characteristics of being professional, and ethical, and follow the laws set when providing
care to patients and working in the healthcare system. The nurse should also be able to
collaborate and take part in teamwork.
As an advanced practicing nurse, I will incorporate teamwork and collaborate with my
staff and patients when supplying care. When staff believes that they are valued and understood
work productivity is improved. Teamwork will allow for growth and cohesiveness within the
working environment. Collaborating with the interprofessional staff will allow each staff member
to bring their unique experiences, values, and educational background to the work environment.
Each staff member has a distinct knowledge base, and skill set, which may be different from other
healthcare professionals with whom they will collaborate. (Denisco, 2021) As a team, the staff
