Matrix Structure Currently Fraser Foods is using the “Functional Structure” Functional Structure A Functional Structure is a common type of organizational structure in which the organization is divided into smaller groups based on specialized functional areas such as IT, Finance or Marketing. However, one of the drawbacks to a functional structure is that the coordination and communication between departments can be restricted by the organizational boundaries of having the various departments working separately.
