✅ The heart is in the MEDIAL position, slightly tilted left. The apex points left. The base is actually on the right.
❌ Arteries carry oxygenated blood
✅ The pulmonary ARTERY carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs. Arteries carry blood AWAY from the heart, not
necessarily oxygenated blood.
❌ Veins always carry deoxygenated blood
✅ The pulmonary VEIN carries oxygenated blood back from the lungs.
❌ The largest organ is the liver
