Racial Justice News Presentations
Hello everyone, and welcome to my presentations about recent news addressing racial
justice within the country. The news has reported by Simon Balto, from The Guardian. Kindly
enjoy and learn from this presentation. Welcome again!
Headline
The headline can catch anybody's attention because it is brief and to the point. Since the
headline comprises two sentences though short sentences, it is insightful to the public based on
how it explains that racial justice would come from the people and not the courts. It shows the
solidarity that Americans have towards fighting racial injustices. I will be interested in knowing
how racial justice from the people can be achieved.
Lead
The lead does not exactly state what the case is about but indicates the victimization. It
does talk more about who is being affected, what perpetuates the racial injustices, talks more
about where it is being done: the courts, why racial injustices are rampant is not clear, but how it
is being done is outlined in the lead. It includes a question and an answer; therefore, it is
conversational.
Newsworthy
In my opinion, I find the news to be worthy because of the conflicting issues where
courts make a judgement based on race. This is evident by George Floyd's murder case, which
made the country take a different vocal point concerning racial injustices. The news explains
how racial justice can be achieved through solidarity with the millions of Americans who believe
in racial justice.
