Parent-child relationship promotes empathy development through the strengthened bond

a similar way. The relationship, in my opinion, begins at conception, which is mainly concerned

with the mother at that stage and develops to become a two-way relationship after birth. During

infancy, parenting enhances these relationships to create empathy. The innocence of the infants

contributes to flourishing the connection with the mother mainly because of the response that the

parent has to her child in case the baby cries. According to human nature, the emotional

expressions that parents, primarily mothers, have towards their children describe empathetic

feeling and response. The connection between parents during infancy time is well strengthened,

and the bond between the three solidifies depending on the marriage situation. Therefore, it is

essential to understand that the caregivers to the child not only do have to be empathetic, they

should also be sympathetic and responsive to the child's reactions.

Measuring constructs in early childhood involves unique challenges which are

significantly contributed to their inabilities in verbal expressiveness. Subsequently, young

children facilitate an opportunity to effectively measuring behavioural empathy, which

eliminates concepts associated with social desirability or, at times, skepticism. Understanding

these elements within the children’s behavioural reactions provides an opportunity for

understanding empathy and relating the concept prior experiences of the parents while they were
