Introduction
Blockchains technologies as an advanced distributed ledger technology is a new
technology that has substantial implications mainly concerned with how currency, information,
and data are exchanged in clouds. It allows sharing of transactional ledgers among businesses or
organizations through peer-to-peer networks. These ledgers are mainly characterized by
Blockchains transactions stored in blocks, chained through cryptographic tools to each other
(Reijers & Coeckelbergh, 2018). Cryptographic tools are decentralized crypto assets that connect
businesses, reducing the need to have too many accountants and data handlers in a financial
institution. Blockchains comprise three players, which are referred to as altruistic who are payers
following prescribed protocols, rational players who act in maximizing their benefits, and
rational Byzantine players who are the deviates rationally from the prescribed technologies
(Reijers & Coeckelbergh, 2018). Anchoring on this understanding, the purpose of this project is
to explore the game theoretical framework as a representation of human intelligence to provide
an analysis of blockchain technology and its impact on human cognition in financial institutions.
Game Theory
Game theory is a mathematical branch model used in decision-making processes among
multiple rational agents known as players. It plays a significant role in IC-BFT design protocols
that guarantees these rational players follow instructions outlined in the prescribed protocols.
Nash equilibrium is a concept in rational players with strategic possibilities among the rational
players (Zappalà ET AL., 2020). The concept where no players show interest among the
deviating individuals fails to represent situations that account for players' formation of coalitions
and deviating as a group. Peer-to-peer blockchains foresee the possibilities among users coalition
