How did the simulated experience of Danielle Young Bear’s case make you feel? ⟶ I felt more confident in this simulated experience since it was my second one. I also felt better about this scenario because we learned about pain management some in first semester. I understood how to use Vsims and knew what to look for. Talk about what went well in the scenario. ⟶ I was able to assess the pt well and educate her on medications. I also educated her well on how much acetaminophen was safe to take in 24 hr. The pt understood she needed to lower her dose of acetaminophen and to look for medications without acetaminophen in them. If so, how would your patient care change? ⟶ In the first scenario, I should have assessed the pt.’s lower back and legs. I also should have ordered the correct blood sample.
