Stockholder Report
During the last six quarters at Tempo Biking, four of our corporate thrust
have aided in the drive of both our financial and non-financial decisions.
These corporate thrusts include Selective Distribution, Superior Customer
Value, Cautious Risk-Taking, and Embracing Conscious Capitalism.
Following the path of selective distribution, Tempo Biking decided to focus
on two markets, New York City and Amsterdam. While competitors were
expanding to all markets, we focused on developing in the markets with
the greatest potential. From the beginning, Tempo Biking focused solely on
two market segments; Recreational and Mountain Biking. New York City
had the highest market potential for the mountain biking segment and the
second-highest market potential for recreational biking segment. We
opened our second and final store in Amsterdam. Amsterdam had the
highest market potential for recreational biking and the second-highest
potential for mountain biking. Focusing on these two markets, New York
and Amsterdam, seemed to be the most reasonable non-financial move to
align with our ideals of selecting markets with the greatest potential.
