The White population group appears to have the lowest unemployment rate
throughout the period covered by the visual. Its unemployment rate remained mainly
between 6.1% and 8.8%, which was consistently below the figures recorded for
Black Africans, Coloured people and Indian Asian people. The lowest point for this
population group was 6.1% during Quarter 2 of 2020.
Question 3
The Indian Asian population group appears to be the most inconsistent because
its unemployment rate shows the greatest movement over time. The rate increased
from 11.4% in Quarter 1 of 2019 to approximately 29.8% in Quarter 3 of 2021,
before falling sharply to 17.1% in Quarter 1 of 2022 and 10.5% in Quarter 2 of
2022. These large increases and decreases show greater fluctuation than the
changes recorded for the other population groups.
Question 4
The highest unemployment rate recorded for Black Africans was 38.6%. According
to the visual, this percentage was reached during Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 of 2021.
After reaching this level, the rate gradually decreased, although it remained higher
