DOSAGES (ADULTS)
Lidocaine 2% for IO administration - Answers -40 mg slow IO
Should be given prior to administration of 10 mL saline flush
Epinephrine for Cardiac Arrest (1:10,000) - Answers -1 mg every 3-5 min IV/IO
Amiodarone for V-Fib/V-Tach (without a pulse) - Answers -300 mg IV/IO, repeat 150
mg after 3-5 mins
Lidocaine for V-Fib/V-Tach - Answers -1 mg/Kg for first dose, repeat at 0.5 mg/Kg
every 5-10 mins for max of 3 doses or 3 mg/Kg
Magnesium Sulfate for Torsades de Pointes (without a pulse) - Answers -1-2 grams in
10 mL given over 5-20 mins
Lidocaine Post-Arrest (ROSC) - Answers -If Lidocaine was used to convert rhythm,
follow with a continuous infusion of 1-4 mg/min. Lower doses for elderly and liver
disease
Adenosine for SVT - Answers -6 mg rapid IV for initial dose
12 mg rapid IV for 2nd and 3rd dose
Amiodarone for V-Tach (with a pulse) - Answers -150 mg in 100 mL of NS over 10 mins
Consider repeat doses of 150 mg in 100 mL over 10 mins to a max of 450 mg
Magnesium Sulfate for Torsades de Pointes (with a pulse) - Answers -1-2 grams
diluted in 100 mL NS over 5-20 mins
Atropine for Bradycardia - Answers -0.5 mg IV, may repeat to a total of 3 mg
Epinephrine Drip for Bradycardia - Answers -2-8 mcg/min
Dopamine Drip for Bradycardia - Answers -2-10 mcg/Kg/min

Versed for Transcutaneous Pacing - Answers -1 mg slow IV
