, ENERGIE LEVERENDE PROCESSEN EN SUBSTRATEN (FOSFATEN EN KOOLHYDRATEN)
ATP = adenosine trifosfaat

ATP is het enige substraat waar energie uit kan gehaald worden voor inspanning:
• Energie nodig in de sarcomeer: actine moet binden aan myosine => mechanische
arbeid
• Energie nodig voor natrium-kaliumpomp => behoud van de membraanpotentiaal
Om een spier te doen relaxeren moet Ca2+ terug uit het cytoplasma naar het sarcoplasmatisch
reticulum verplaatsen.




• Hoog-energetische bindingen tussen de fosfaatgroepen
• Energie komt vrij tijdens de hydrolyse
ENERGIEVOORRAAD OF CARRIER?
De ATP voorraad is bij iedereen gelijk, bij mannen en vrouwen en zowel bij atleten als bij
sedentaire personen.
= 5-6 mmol ATP/kg spier
Voorbeeld:
100 meter sprint aan 30 km/u, hierbij wordt 3 mmol ATP/s verbruikt
• Binnen 1-3 seconden is de voorraad uitgeput indien er geen resynthese is via andere
systemen
ATP is te groot en te zwaar om als energievoorraad te dienen in de spier. ATP dient meer als een
energiecarrier, deze is. Nodig voor processen in ons lichaam en moet dus continue
geresynthetiseerd worden.
ATP-afbraak komt overeen met ATP-resynthese.
Berekenen hoeveel mmol ATP: aantal seconden x verbruik van ATP tijdens de inspanning x kg
spieren
ENERGIESYSTEMEN VOOR RESYNTHESE VAN ATP
• Phosphocreatine system (Pcr)
• Glycolysis
o ‘Anaerobic glycolysis’: Glucose → Pyruvate → lactic acid (lactate- + H+)
o ‘Aerobic glycolysis’: Glucose → Pyruvaat → Acetyl-CoA → oxidative
phosphorylation
• Substrate store: muscle glycogen, liver glycogen, gut (CHO intake), blood glucose
• Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria
• Substrate store: intramuscular triglycerides, peripheral triglycerides, blood triglycerides

Verschillen in:
• Maximal ATP productie en snelheid (vermogen)
• Energie vooraad voor energie systemen
• Energieleverende substraten voor energiesystemen (glucose, vetten)
• Duur om energie systemen te activeren
• O2 Nood
• Geassocieerde determinanten van vermoeidheid (bv: pH, metabolieten)
