Stuart was John's friend, mainly, from art college. Stuart's a very good painter. We were all slightly

question was, "What do you do with £75?" So we said that happens to be the exact amount it takes
to buy a Hofner bass, and that'd be such like you know which is now still really Johnny I can't get
him quite persuasive argument, but the best thing to do obviously was to buy this Hofner bass
which he did. He went and did that, and the only trouble was he couldn't play it, but it was better to
have a bass player who couldn't play it than to not have a bass player at all. So yeah.
