, 7. Assertion (A): Chromosomes are composed of DNA and proteins. 1
Reason (R): Chromosomes are visible as thread-like structures in non-dividing cells.
8. Assertion (A): Nerve impulses allow us to move our muscles and enable rapid responses to stimuli in 1
animals.
Reason (R): Many nerve fibres bound together by connective tissue make up a nerve.
9. Attempt either option A or B
A. What traits are aimed for the cross-breeding of Indian breeds like Aseel with foreign breeds like 2
Leghorn?
OR
B. What are the key practices involved in organic farming that promote sustainable agricultural systems?

14. Read the passage and answer the questions based on passage and related studied concepts. 4
Connective tissues are specialized to connect various body parts.
For Example: Bone to bone, Muscle to bone or tissue.
The main function is binding, supporting and packing together different organs of body. The cells of
connective tissue are living, separated from each other and are very less in number. Homogeneous gel like
intercellular substance called matrix form the bulk of connective tissue. Cells are embedded in matrix.
