• The word linguistic means ‘relating to language’.
• Linguistic devices can be used to influence the response of the
reader, or to help communicate an idea or point of view.
• There are many devices to use,
including simile, metaphor, allusion and hyperbole.
• Linguistic devices are also known as language devices, linguistic
techniques or figurative devices.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
A social media target audience is the specific group of people
you want to reach with your social channels. They are the people
who are most likely to be interested in your content, products, or
services. They are likely united by some common characteristics,
like demographics and behaviours.
Example: Parents will read school newsletter.
CONTEXT OF THE TEXT:
Context is the background, environment, setting, framework, or
surroundings of events or occurrences. Simply, context means
circumstances forming a background of an event, idea or
statement, in such a way as to enable readers to understand
the narrative or a literary piece. It is necessary in writing to provide
information, new concepts, and words to develop thoughts.
