2 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES:
a). Bars to be supplied in annealed condition with the hardness of I 56 to 202 BHN ( 70 to 87 HRB).
Tensile strength in core after Heat Treatment should be 85 - 120 Kg/Sq.mml (Core hardness 45 HRC
b). Max.)
3 DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY:
a). Tolerance on diamter should be +0.1 MM
b). Bar should be straight within lmm/Nttr.
c). Bar should be free from lobbing.
4 GRAIN - SIZE:
The grainsize shall be fine grain preferably 6 - 8 as per IS 4748 - 1988.
5 SURFACE QUALITY:

Surface should be free fronm seam, scales, rust, fold crack and other inegularities.
6 INCLUSION:
o/o
the permissioble slag inclusions under group A,B,C abd D for thick and thin series shall not exceed 2
as per IS 4163 - 1982.
7 GENERAL:
- Consignment to be supplied alongwith supplier test certificate
- Consignment to be packed with PVC bag and strapped for proper handling / road worthy hansit
- Each and every steel bar to be checked by spark for chemical composition at supplier end.
Test certificate should cover declaration that every bar checked and certified
