In this assessment, Layout Design Project, I composed two design types sized at 6 inches
wide by 9 inches tall as per the assessment instructions provided. The first design was the grid
design, I composed several different sized rectangular columns to complete the format layout.
The back ground is set to solid black and the headline column type contains the Company’s
name, “Print & Bean Shoppe” in Britannic font at size 40, in a yellow font color to pop out
against the background. Below the company name I added the “We provide all your printing and
, design needs” in Courier New font at size 24. To represent the services in the company, I put a
large image of items and tools associated with coffee consumption and brewing. I also an image
of a multifunction printer (scan, fax, copy, print) to depict the printing services offered. I added a
column between the printer image and the coffee image with the tagline “Refresh Yourself at the
One-Stop Graphics Source” in Verdana at size 15.7. The “Serving a full line of specialty coffee
and tea” in in the column below the last image and set in Courier New font at size 24. The footer
contains the companies address “6879 Marionette Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55101” in Britannic
font at size 18, in a yellow font color to pop out against the background.
