Stuvia will use the personal data it has collected about you for the following purposes:
Use by Stuvia
Stuvia offers a Platform which enables users to exchange Study Material among themselves. In order to ensure that the Study Material can indeed be offered and paid for on the Platform, Stuvia must use your personal data.
Stuvia also wishes to keep you informed on the development of its Platform. In case of an upgrade, update or any other change to the Platform, Stuvia will let you know. This also applies to information regarding payments. It is not possible to opt out of these messages.

Finally, Stuvia can provide your details to third parties if Stuvia is obliged to do so pursuant to legal provisions, if it is forced to do so as the result of a legal case and/or in the event Stuvia regards it necessary for the protection of its own rights.

This protection can be identified by the entry 'https' in the URL of the browser as well as by the depiction of a closed lock at the bottom of the screen. If you click this lock twice, you can check whether a secure connection has been made with the Platform.
In the event of Stuvia's further growth and development, one or more parts of the assets of the company may be transferred to a third party or Stuvia may merge with a third party. In that case your personal data will also be transferred.
Given the fact that Stuvia uses Google Analytics, as described above in paragraph 4, Stuvia transfers personal data to the United Stated of America. As a part of Google Inc., Google Analytics is a party to the Safe Harbor program. This means that Google has taken suitable measures to protect your personal data.
