The film I chose for my final project is "The Shawshank Redemption." The film's plot is interesting, and I think it will be a good film to analyze. Frank Darabont directed, Niki Marvin produced, and Stephen King wrote The Shawshank Redemption. Arnold Kopelson served as executive producer, and Thomas Newman composed the score. Castle Rock Entertainment was responsible for the film's production back in 1994. (Hooke 16). The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American prison drama film centered on the book of the same name by Stephen King. In the film, Tim Robbins plays banker Andy Dufresne, who maintains his innocence while serving a life sentence at Shawshank State Penitentiary. Andy makes pals with Red, a lifer, while he is incarcerated. The Shawshank Redemption has garnered universal praise from reviewers. The film has an average rating of 8.7 out of 10 and a "Certified Fresh" rating of 91% based on 74 critics of Rotten Tomatoes.
