Preach, lactation, teratogenic, liver failure, alcohol use
disorder, blood dycrasias. Cautiously in liver or kidney
dysfunction, peptic ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis, cancer Nursing Interventions
or bone marrow suppression, impaired nutritional status,
infections, and children
Interactions
Salicylate, NSAIDs, sulfonamides, penicillin, and other
tetracyclines can cause toxicity (ulcerative stomatitis.
Inspect mouth gums and throat for color changes,
bleeding, and ulceration. Use soft toothbrush, and stop
medication. folic acid= reduce effectiveness Client Education
Effects are delayed and can
take 3-6 weeks to take full effect
