How DNA is used to generate protein
In short it simply means protein synthesis which includes and happens in cells of all living organism. To start with the derivation of protein from the cell hence DNA comprises of two processes or stages. These processes are transcription and translation. Transcription in a typical eukaryotic cell occurs in the cell nucleus. During this period DNA is used as a template to create a molecule of messenger RNA (mRNA) where it leaves the nucleus and move to a ribosome found in the cytoplasm for translation to happen or occurs. At this very point the genetic code in mRNA is then used to read and make protein. Will be simply understood like this from DNA to RNA and finally to protein (CK-12 Foundation, 2018).
