Objectivism and subjectivism
NB/The idea that there are different views of the world, and the processes that operate within it, is part of what is known as philosophy. 
Philosophy is concerned with views about how the world works and, as an academic subject, focuses, primarily, on reality, knowledge and existence. It is a basic belief system or world view that guides the investigation. Refers to the development of knowledge and the nature of that knowledge. It deals with the source, nature and development of knowledge.

Training can be defined as a planned process to modify attitude, knowledge, skill behaviour through a learning experience, to achieve performance in any activity or range of activities. 
 
Development, on the other hand, can be defined as the maximisation of existing skills and competencies so as to become more effective and productive thus maximising employee potential.
