Micro Culture

*Systems of cultural knowledge that are characteristic of small groups of people in an organization *very niche *often used interchangeably with subculture but specifically refers to one niche

Tacit Culture

Cultural knowledge that people lack words for, because it is unspoken it can only be learned and discovered by behavioral observation

Biological species concept

species are groups of individuals capable of fertile interbreeding but reproductively isolated from other groups, if genetic differences accumulate in both populations, they will diverge and once they can not successfully reproduce with each other, they are no longer the same species.

A light banded snail would do best living in a field. A dark banded snail would do best in the darker forest. however the average snail would stick out in BOTH environments because it will always have one stand out color, therefore it is more likely to die and be selected against

What might cause genetic drift

*random chance *genes become lost or prominent in a population not due to selection but due to chance
