The examination is open book. This means that students are allowed to consult
both primary and secondary texts during the exam. However, any information used
from these sources must be properly cited with in-text references and a full citation
on the reference page.
This paper consists of 4 pages.
, The examination is divided into TWO sections: Section A and Section B. Answer all
the questions in section A, then write an essay on one of the topics in section B.
Instructions:
• All answers must be typed in 12-point font in 1.5 spacing.
• The examination is being conducted as a portfolio examination based on an
examination question paper. The examination will be managed on the
myUnisa platform.
• Remember to login to the Invigilator App using the QR Code provided.
• Wherever you use anyone else’s words or ideas, a full reference must be
provided. A full reference consists of firstly an in-text reference with the
author’s name, the date of publication and the page number, and secondly a
full list of references at the end of the essay.
• Do not submit AI generated essays as this will be a breach of exam rules if
not properly referenced.
• Any form of plagiarism or cheating will be referred to the Disciplinary
Services.
• Click on the Honesty Declaration before submitting your examination answer.
• The question paper can be downloaded from the myExams platform on 17
May 2025 at least 15 minutes before 12:45 in the morning (South African
time), and the completed examination must be uploaded by 16:45 in the
afternoon (South African time).
• The answers must be uploaded as a PDF electronic document. See
