Course Aims:
By the end of the course, the student will have:
• Improved on his English speaking and listening (conversation) abilities as well as his
pronunciation with regards to employment interviews and Increase his English
vocabulary in the workplace.
• Improved on his General English to better communicate with English (L1) friends.
Course Rationale: (700 – 1000 words)
I have preferred to use the multi- syllabus type for Alberto’s course as it will cover his needs
and interests. I have ensured to include a variety of his topic of interests to discuss, through
these discussions he will improve and develop the skills he requires. The multi- syllabus
type was therefore a favourable choice to try to incorporate Alberto’s preferred topics as
well as his skills he needs to improve. This syllabus type helps to ensure the combination of
vocabulary items, topics, structures, structures, and abilities and or skill practice. I
incorporated specific hobbies and interested of the students in both areas, teachings, as
well as homework. To ensure the students motivation, energy as well as concentration are
constant in participation. The activities I have chosen around his interested will supply him
amply opportunities to practise the skills, he requires, particularly his speaking, listening
and pronunciation skills for more fluent communication in the work place as well as with
his friends.
