Trends In the Health Industry
The population of over 300 million people in the United States has a complex health
system that brings together payers, health providers, and the patients receiving the healthcare
service. The system is mixed and does not provide universal health coverage. In the current age,
digital technology is a reality and has been experienced in health. Analytics has been used to
improve the decision-making process on matters concerning health. Machine learning has been
applied to specialized medicine. Artificial intelligence is also being applied to detect diseases.
This is true for various fields of health, including radiology, dermatology, and pathology, among
many others. In this paper, I will discuss digital technology, Artificial intelligence, and
healthcare analytics as the three trends in the US healthcare delivery system.
Discussion of Three Trends
Digital Technology
In the US, digital technology has transformed the way healthcare is administered,
received, and experienced. In the process of providing healthcare, the amount of paperwork and
errors has decreased thanks to electronic records. Because decisions are now based on patients'
histories, quality has increased. Large volumes of medical data may currently be collected for
individual patients thanks to wearable technology (Pillay, 2023). Because digital technology is
always changing and new things are always coming out, those involved in the health industries
must be aware of these developments to take advantage of the advantages. As technology
advances, electronic health records will only serve to increase the effectiveness of healthcare
services.
New digital technology must now be incorporated into healthcare institutions' and
organizations' operations. Among the digital transformations of health is M-health, which
