What happened at Boston Tea Party? - ANS A group of men disguised themselves as Native
Americans and boarded the tea ship. In just 3 hours, they threw 342 cases of tea into the
harbor. They destroyed 90,000 lbs. of tea.



Why did Boston Tea Party happen? - ANS British stated that the colonists had to buy all their
tea from them. (Monopoly: when only one person is allowed to sell things.) The Boston Tea
Party was the colonist's response, which actually lowered the price of tea.



What was the Proclamation of 1763? - ANS American colonists' reaction to British rule after
the French and Indian War



How did the colonists react? - ANS Colonists reacted to this negatively, and didn't obey it
whatsoever. They did not like the fact that the king could choose where they were able to live,
and they wanted to expand their land mass.



Who made the Proclamation? - ANS The Proclamation Line of 1763 was a border made by
King George III along the Appalachian Mountains. He declared that all land west of this line was
off limits to the colonists.
