1.1 The fallacy entails using physical or non-physical force to attempt to persuade
the point of the argument. The fallacy used when the arguer knows they have a
weak argument. The Latin term used for this fallacy is called argumentum ad
baculum which translates to argument to the stick. Defined more clearly this fallacy
is made when an arguer threatens physically or non-physically to force a person
into accepting their argument.

(Coetser,Mungwini & Scott,(2020:79).



1.2 The fallacy of complex question is also called loaded question. The fallacy
entails (an unfair or questionable assumption.) Better defined the fallacy occurs
when two or even three questions are disguised as one. The complex question is
phrased in such a manner that it makes it difficult to answer yes or no.

Example: Are you still eating take always every day?

(Coetser et al ,2020:75)



1.3 Instructive writing is a simple type of writing in which instructions are given in
order to complete a particular objective. The writing is simple in nature where clear
instructions and steps are given.

Example: Write an Essay of 5000 words. Do not plagiarise any of your workbooks.

Make use of 1.5 line spacing.

1.4 Implicit conclusion is when an argument has a missing conclusion. The
conclusion is not clearly stated and the arguer assumes that you will know what
the conclusion is by assessing the premises.
