1. Tell me about yourself: Well I am a junior in high school and I have taken up small jobs like painting and
selling things but this would be my first real job. I would have gotten a job earlier but I am so focused on school as
well as my college classes. I'm actually a little nervous to work in an actual public workplace
2. Why should we hire you?: I am a fast paced and a fast learner when it comes to working. I'm always
willing to learn new things. I'm outgoing. Dedicated to anything I do. Im fresh at working so i'm ready to get started
this is my passion.
3. What position are you looking for?: I am looking to be a cashier or anything that can test me and
my skills so I can improve at them.
4. What makes Publix stand out against our competition?: Publix and a well cleaned and
organized workplace. They have awesome customer service and you always feel comfortable shopping.
5. What is a time you had to solve a problem?: Spilled paint at recent job
6. "Alright, let's role play. I'm a customer and you're a
bagger. 'NO, DON'T PUT MY TOMATOES IN THAT BAG!' And you say?": "My apologies
Ma'am would you like me to not bag them at all or give it its own bag?"
7. How would you handle a situation where a fellow employee is not pulling their
workload?: I would first try to make sure that doesn't happen in the first place. Next I will approach them kindly
and let them be aware of the problem and if there is a reason it is happening. If that doesn't help I will inform my
supervisor about them. If that doesn't help ill find a way to work around them so they don't slow me up.
8. What are your career goals?: I am focusing on keeping my grades up and completing high school.
After that I will probably attend a college or cosmetology school! If possible I want to still be working at Publix while
doing this.
9. Why are you applying at Publix?: ? I want more experience with working and to be trained for the
first time and I believe Publix will assist me with that.
10. how you can help Publix deliver premier customer service.: I provide a big smile and
great energy. I am a respectful person. I treat people as if they are my own.
11. What are your strengths?: I work well with others and I am a leader. I also am determined.
12. How would you deal with an angry customer?: First I will keep calm unlike them. I will listen
to everything they have to say. I will thank them for bringing the problem to my attention. Lastly I will tell them the steps
I am going to take to solve the problem in the kindest way as possible
13. What do you know about Publix's history?: It is the largest supermarket chain in the u.s. They
strive for the best quality and customer service
