1.1.1 Differentiate between the radius and the circumference of a circle. (2)


1.1.2 Show that the radius of the can, rounded to the nearest mm, is 41 mm.

Use the formula: Circumference of a circle = 2 × 𝜋 × 𝑟 , where 𝜋 = 3,142 (2)

1.1.2 The manufacturer increases the radius by 6 mm. Calculate the new
circumference of
the base. (2)

1.1.4 Calculate by how much the surface area of the new label increases.

1.2 Leilla buys a packet with 6 of the soup cans of the enlarged cans.
Use the illustration below to show that the dimensions of the box of the
larger cans are 28.2 cm × 18.8 cm × 22 cm.
